AC Milan Join Juventus in Race for Barcelona Outcast Alejandro Balde

AC Milan are reportedly keeping a close eye on Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde as they consider making a move during the January transfer window. The Spanish defender has struggled for regular playing time this season, attracting interest from both Milan and Juventus. Milan’s interest is reportedly linked to a request from Ruben Amorim, who wants the club to strengthen its options at wing-back.

Balde has made just one appearance this season, playing only 12 minutes as a late substitute in Barcelona’s 7-2 victory over Racing Santander. He currently finds himself behind other options in the pecking order, leaving his future at the Catalan club increasingly uncertain. His limited role could encourage Barcelona to consider offers as they look to make the most of his market value.

Barcelona are also facing a timing issue with Balde’s contract, which runs until June 2028. The club may view the next two transfer windows as an important opportunity to secure a substantial fee if it decides to sell the defender. Balde was previously offered to Inter during discussions involving Alessandro Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez, but the proposed deal did not progress and the player ultimately remained at Barcelona.

Juventus have also identified Balde as a potential solution for their wing-back position. The Turin club had considered strengthening at left-back during the summer and could return to the idea in January.
