Ayoub Bouaddi Set for Manchester City Move After Medical
Ayoub Bouaddi is edging closer to becoming a Manchester City player after completing the key stages of his proposed transfer from French club Lille. The highly rated Moroccan midfielder has reportedly undergone his medical examination in Manchester as the Premier League champions prepare to finalize the deal.
The transfer is understood to be worth €95 million, with a further €5 million available through performance-related bonuses. Both Manchester City and Lille have reportedly completed and signed the necessary documents, leaving the move in its final stages before an official announcement.
Bouaddi has attracted considerable attention because of his impressive development despite his young age. His performances for Lille have established him as one of the most promising midfielders in European football, with his technical ability, composure and understanding of the game making him an appealing long-term investment for City.
His reputation grew further during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he played an important role for Morocco in midfield. Despite his limited experience at the highest level, Bouaddi showed maturity and consistency while helping Morocco compete on the international stage.
Manchester City now appear ready to make Bouaddi one of their major additions of the summer. His arrival could provide greater depth and another talented option in midfield, while also giving the club a player with significant potential to develop into a key figure for years to come. With the medical completed and the paperwork reportedly finalized, Bouaddi is now close to beginning a new chapter at the Etihad Stadium.
